Dear friends,

Like you, for the past few weeks, we have watched, listened, and searched deeply into our hearts following the senseless and unwarranted murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and so many other Black lives.

First and foremost, The Brandywiners, Ltd. stands with Black Lives Matter.
Second, we will do our part to help abolish racism.

We recognize that we can only accomplish this work by embracing diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. It is never too late to learn, grow, and evolve.
We promise to better reflect the diverse perspectives and people of our vibrant theatrical community.
We promise to encourage our board, members, and participants to gain better perspective of others through education, empathy, and understanding.
We promise to do better – to be better.

But to do this, we must acknowledge that our country has stood on the heels of a long history of systemic racism and trauma. We have not done all that we could have done to be more inclusive. Things will change now.

The Brandywiners, Ltd. fully believes that the ARTS is a safe community of forward-thinking, caring, and respectful individuals. We want to aid in the effort to tear down barriers that divide the ARTS because of racism, and instead, unite.

Black Lives Matter. We wholeheartedly agree with this statement. We encourage you to please listen, learn, and support where you can. We vow to do the same.

Do not hesitate to send an email to admin@brandywiners.org with any comments or questions.

Let’s change the world … together.

Thank you.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear friends of The Brandywiners, Ltd.,

First and foremost, we hope this message finds you doing well during these unprecedented and unpredictable times.

Second, we regret to inform you that our summer production, RAGTIME The Musical, has been postponed until the summer of 2021. This is due to the fact that Longwood Gardens has canceled all of its outdoor events throughout June, July, and August. We support Longwood’s decision to put the safety of its patrons and people first.

If you purchased tickets to our show already, Longwood Gardens will process your refund in full.

The Board of the Brandywiners met and discussed this issue in great detail. It was decided, as an organization with such strong and deep roots performing at Longwood Gardens, that we would not seek alternative locations to present RAGTIME. Longwood Gardens is our partner and we value our relationship with them.

We encourage all of our members, friends, and families to exercise smart habits during this pandemic. Wash your hands thoroughly … stay at least 6 ft away from others … and follow the latest guidelines as published by CDC or WHO.

Should you have further questions, please send an email to admin@Brandywiners.org.
In the meantime, we are confident that theatre will survive this setback. Once it does, we look forward to greeting you once again (in person).
Thank you for your understanding.
Stay healthy!
